-I Bind You, Nancy-

Now, I'm not particularly known for being a Vera Wang fan. Her creations are lovely and extremely ladylike, but just not my kind of lovely and ladylike. That, and and my generation's culture has programmed me into considering wedding dresses to be $4000 ham napkins.

However, her pre-fall collection this go around definitely struck a chord with me. And by chord, I mean full on power ballad with Tawny Kitaen rolling around on car hoods and shit.

This set is so completely Hermione Granger goes Goth. Which is kind of more Bellatrix Lestrange. Which probably just means I need to put the Kindle down. Regardless, I love it. There's also some echoes of Sarah Michelle Gellar in Cruel Intentions, which, fuck guys. Just try and tell me you wouldn't want to prance around looking like that.

Regardless, knee high socks, multi-texture blacks and deep neutrals, caplets and academy patches comprise the focus of this look, it's the kind of stuff that fueled my Craft obsession in 7th grade. No secret, I never really grew past that phase style-wise.

The other perk of this look is that so many of the elements are easily adapted onto current pieces you probably already own. Iron on a patch to a boyfriend cardi, make sure to have your pleats and seams crisp and pressed, swap your tights for over the knee tights and you're good to go.
