-Last Resort-

Resort 2012 is here, and like any good fan girl, I got all hyped and crazed for the new McQueen collection. I really love what Sarah Burton is doing for the fashion house, to be honest. The line is maintaining its personality, while experimenting. And, if anything, it's becoming more wearable outside of extreme and avant garde situations.

This collection introduced cotton to the McQueen lexicon which contrasts beautifully with the utilitarian belt and hardware details and the precision detailing. Staying in a fairly neutral palette, I'm also really getting into the lengths on these. Going from full length drama up to a tea length that refuses to be demure the latest collection proves to be a solid set and a win for Burton as she finds her feet as the creative director for the company.

I'm quite in love with the first dress imaged. It's my ideal of long sleeves and acres of cleavage. Drama. Drama. Drama. Love it. But I'm also thrilled to see that mustard/camel tones haven't faded out of vogue yet.
