It's no secret I harbor an intense and dedicated love of all things Dita von Teese. It's also a big ol' duh moment when I say I'm a fume head.
Smush these two passions together and what do you get?
Me in line at the perfume counter buying the full size, the roller ball and all assorted gift boxes.
The rumor about Dita releasing her own perfume has been bopping around for a while now and a couple months she confirmed it, though didn't release any details other than it would be a darker tone and ever since I've been bouncing in my chair waiting to get my hands on a bottle.
The notes are Bourbon pepper, Bulgarian rose and Gaiac wood (a sweet and smokey oil that I imagine will be amazing with the pepper inclusions. While celeb fragrances garner a lot of (often deserved) flak, this one is something I'm already dreaming of. Perfume is just such a natural extension of Dita and her persona that I can't even fathom that she didn't take it seriously.
I'm also loving the vintage feel of the flacon, with it's black column bottle and you-saw-it-on-your-gran's-vanity ball atomizer, the packaging just purrs boudoir.
The initial line is slated to offer an Eau de Parfum in two sizes, a shower gel, lotion, deodorant and a gift back with roller ball sized vial and is expected in stores in late October.
Review to follow, lovelies.
